Under certain circumstances you may wish to repair or replace your water meter:

IWN: If you have received an Inspector's Warning Notice it is a sure sign that something is not quite right with your water meter. Some examples of problems are: Your water meter is broken. Your meter is not set properly. The remote is not functioning right. The numbers on the meter head do not match the remote. Ashokan can determine what the problem is and repair or replace your water meter. Our experienced staff will file all the necessary paperwork making sure that you don't receive another IWN.

Estimated Reads: If you are receiving a water/sewer bill with estimated reads there may be a problem with your water meter. Ashokan can help determine if your water meter needs to be repaired or replaced and our licensed plumbers can do the job for you. Ashokan will also make sure that all the required paperwork is filed with the DEP.

Non AMR compatible: In certain cases an Automatic Meter Reading device is crucial in measuring your water consumption and detecting leaks. A remote device also allows the DEP to read your meters without entering the building. If your water meter is not AMR compatible you may wish to have it replaced with a modem ready water meter. (Ashokan can help you determine if AMR is right for you.) Our licensed plumbers can replace your water meter with one that is AMR compatible. The city reimburses property owners for a portion of the price of the meter installation. Ashokan's staff will handle all the filing and paperwork ensuring that the replacement goes smoothly and that the credits are received.
