Ashokan Water Services (AWS) is a conservation
engineering firm that helps industrial, commercial and multi-unit
residential property owners save money on their utility bills. Our
staff includes engineers, plumbers, attorneys and bill auditors,
who combine their individual skills to develop ways to conserve
your water and your money, and to obtain the credits and refunds
to which you are entitled.
AWS was founded as a response to the huge water waste throughout
the City of New York. As demand for related services increased,
we expanded our services to include gas and electric usage. Today,
AWS serves properties in the New York metropolitan area, providing
owners with ways of monitoring and analyzing consumption and reducing
your water, gas and electric bills.
What Does "Ashokan" Mean?
Ashokan
is the name of a pristine reservoir located in the Catskill region
of New York State. Completed in 1912, after the Croton reservoir
in Westchester County became insufficient for the growing population
of New York City, Ashokan has served as one of the city's main sources
of drinking water. The Ashokan reservoir watershed is home to an
abundance of wildlife, including the Bald Eagle. Local conservationists
have identified at least 6 Bald Eagles nesting around the reservoir
each year. |
